Norwegian rider Tonje Danielsson won the 2009 Onsala Arabians Cup without even having to ride in the 5th and last race of the cup. Her undisputed lead made it possible fpr her to “give away” the last race and still be certain to win.
The last race “Edsbyritten” over 80 km was won by Marie Eriksson on Tiili who had an average speed of 16,9 km/h.
After Tonje the struggle was tight and both Ella Lindbom and Maria Hagman-Eriksson rode for a win. This turned out to be a good strategy as the finished 2nd and 3rd (with only 10 seconds between them) respectively and that way both made it to top-5!

2 Lovisa Nordin/Zlota Goraczka ox, 28 points
3 Ella Lindbom/Lapszus ox, 26 points
4 Frida Ekström/Zinner ox, 22 points
5 Maria Hagman-Eriksson/Prylens Peton ox, 22 points
This years running of the cup has been a great success, and mor than 40 teams from Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway have been awarded points in the five races.
